LVC's Cardiovascular Sonography AAS Degree program provides hands-on training to teach students how to perform critical duties, including how to:
- Perform cardiovascular ultrasound procedures in clinics, hospitals, offices specializing in cardiovascular health, and in diagnostic imaging, and acute or long-term care facilities.
- Record anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data, as well as data obtained through the sonography.
- Produce and prepare images, and transfer them into file, video tape, or computer systems for interpretation.
- Evaluate tests and images relating to a patient’s condition.
- Communicate with patients and physicians as needed.
- Consult with medical professionals on patient status.

Upon completion of the program, graduates of the Cardiovascular Sonography AAS Degree program will be prepared to sit for several certifications through the Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI) and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

Yes! While the school cannot guarantee employment upon graduation, LVC assists every graduate in the search for the employment for which he or she has been training. The Career Services Department hosts career fairs and on-campus interviewing sessions, helps students prepare for job interviews and complete job applications, assists in the preparation of effective resumes and cover letters, provides professional development and individualized job placement advising. You come to LVC with a goal, and we will give you the training and support to make it happen.
