Why Employers should hire from Las Vegas College!

  • LVC’s History.
    • Las Vegas College (LVC) was established in 1979 to meet the demand for trained individuals in the Las Vegas area. LVC continues to add in demand programs to build upon its goal to set the standard for career training. Conveniently located in Henderson, LVC is housed in a 50,000 square foot facility, consisting of administrative offices, classrooms, and hands-on lab space.
  • LVC’s Accreditation.
    • What does that mean for you as an employer? It means that the quality of our training programs is evaluated by outside agencies. LVC's programs are reviewed not only for the quality of our curriculum but also for our instructors, facility, equipment and outcomes. LVC is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission For Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).  In addition to our institutional accreditation, LVC holds programmatic accreditation by the following agencies:
      • The curriculum of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing program is approved for state licensure by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
      • The Nursing education program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
  • LVC’s Instructors.
    • LVC’s instructors all come to the classroom with practical field experience.
  • Graduate Training and Skills.
    • Our graduates gain many skills but “safety first” is our focus. Another important focus as part of students’ training is attendance and punctuality.
  • LVC Free Refresher Training.
    • Graduates of our school are invited to return for refresher training even years later to repeat a module for skills they may need to brush up on.
  • LVC’s Career Services Department.
    • Partner with LVC’s Career Services (CS) Department to help you find the right fit for your team. Our Career Services Department can work with you to assess your needs, identify prospective employees, arrange for interviews on our site or yours, as well as include your participation in our Program Advisory Committees to review and make recommendations for our curriculum.
